Between 45-50 homemade pies – wide selection, $20 each. Write dessert off of your Thanksgiving to-do list and support the Library at the same time. Below is a photo from our 2022 sale:

Franklin Library 2023 Giant Christmas Stocking Raffle: tickets are on sale now at the Library for our giant hand-made Christmas stocking, filled with toys, games, and treats for the whole family.  This year’s theme is “The Nutcracker” and the stocking is bigger than ever: 5’ 8” tall!  Take a chance to win the stocking for your family, as a gift for another family, or to divide the contents and keep / share however you wish.  Tickets are $3:00 each, available for purchase at the Library Wed. through Sat. (see our websites for hours).  Or you can call us at 565-5054 to set aside tickets for you. Drawing on Sat. Dec. 16^th.

Buy a homemade pie at the Franklin Library Annual Pie Sale and cross one task off your Thanksgiving to-do list.  Wide variety of pies, $20 each.  Sale starts at 4:00 p.m and continues until all pies are sold.  All proceeds benefit the Library.

Author ANNETTE LEBLANC CATE has donated two of her books to the Library: “The Magic Rabbit” and “A Dragon Used to Live Here”. Best of all, she drew a FABULOUS dedication, for each book, to the kids of Franklin (see her drawings on the book endpapers attached). Wonderful!

Annette visited the Library in late summer, along with fellow author Alexandra Hinrichs. We also have another title by Annette:

“Look up! : bird-watching in your own backyard”. Thank you so much to both Annette and Alexandra!

THE FRANKLIN LIBRARY WILL BE CLOSED ON SATURDAY, SEPT. 16TH BECAUSE OF EXPECTED HIGH WIND AND RAIN CONDITIONS. STAY SAFE!

Only 3 days left to purchase lobster raffle tickets: Fri. 3-6, Sat. 10-1, next Wed. 12-3. Drawing will be at 3:00 p.m. on Wed. Aug. 30th. Tickets are $5 each or 5 tickets for $20 – all proceeds go to the Franklin Library. Five winning tickets will be drawn – each winner gets 6 live lobsters!

Presentation by the author of “The Lobster Lady” and “I am Made of Mountains”. Starts at 6:00 p.m. at the Library. Ice cream will be served!

Tickets are on sale now for the Library’s annual live lobster raffle. End your summer with a lobster feast: five winners will get 6 lobsters each – just in time for Labor Day weekend. Tickets on sale now. All proceeds benefit the Library.

Quite a few of you have sore backs today because of all the lifting and carrying. But your hard work paid off; we pulled in $2,723.00! Thank you so much for your support of the Library.
